Our cluster gathers close to 100 high-growth potential software companies, research institutions, incubators, service companies, experts and support organizations dedicated to the Brussels software industry.

In Brussels, the software market has become one of the most promising technology sector thanks to its concentration of high-level academic institutions and competence centers for software development technologies. Most of our Brussels-based software companies offer world-class solutions that are sold all over Europe and beyond.

Our vision is to position the Brussels-Capital Region as centre of excellence for software products and innovative technologies in the global IT community and beyond.

In order to achieve our ambitions, the cluster mission is articulated around three main objectives:

• Create and support a dynamic ecosystem to catalyze effective collaboration among business, experts, academic and research institutions, investors, governments and support organizations active in the software industry.

• Propose custom-made supports and collective actions to respond to the specific needs of high-potential software companies in order to accelerate their growth and boost their competitiveness.

• Reinforce locally and internationally the visibility of Brussels software editors by promoting their capacity to create substantial added-value through various communication tools, international events and European partnerships.

The cluster "Software in Brussels" is managed by the ICT Business Unit, part of the Innovation Department of the Brussels Enterprise Agency.

Who can be a member of the "Software in Brussels" Cluster?

To become a member, you only have to be a Brussels-based company that produces and commercializes its own  software solution. The membership of the “Software in Brussels” Cluster is at the moment free of charge. We also invite all the institutions and support organizations of the Brussels-Capital Region active in the software industry to join the cluster. Any other companies or organisations outside of Brussels is more than welcome to contribute to our ecosystem for the benefit of our members.
